Anyone think alot of the classic songs are good?

Examples:

Jimmy Buffett is my favorite singer/songwriter/author, and he is, to me, overall, a good singer and songwriter. He has gotten better with his songwriting, but his singing is alot better before he became famous. The following songs are the ones I find really good:

-Coming Down Slow/High Cumberland Jubilee

-Hang out Gang (he didnt have a tag, yall!)

-Travelin Clean

-Truckstop salvation (acoustic solo at near end, that rocks!)

-In the shelter

-High Cumberland Dilemma (same beat as first song!!)

-One of the newer songs, on License to Chill: Scarlet Begonias!!! (that song was... wow... I really like it!)

-Christian (its a he** of a time to be thinkin... about heaven)

-Rockefeller Square (the underground world dont fill a millionaire!

Can anyone list any others?

Billy Joel. Not much of a voice, really, but excellent at putting music and lyrics together for some great songs.
Reply:Many of these ppl are underrated and overlooked. I am 17 and my favorite singer is Tina Turner!!!

Ike and Tina had some good music, but no one gave them a chance. And they still dont because of the abusive situation Tina had to endure. Many kids today dont appreciate classic music.

Beyonce wants to be Tina Turner

Neyo tried in one song to be Prince

But no one give credit to these ppl...

Its a sad world out there
