Science fair topic: Will a plant grow faster with coke or sprite??
How does sprite affect the growth of a Begonia flower?
I would say they would both be the same, if there is any effect at all, as they both contain equal amounts of sugar. They have different flavourings and coke has small amounts of caffiene but I can't see that having any effect on plants.
Reply:This is not an efficacious question since there is no purpose for concern. This means plants do not ordinarily encounter Coke or Sprite, so there is no reason to do this research. If you tested on amount or type of fertilizer, soil properties, light, or some common pollutant, it would be a project with meaningful results.
