How do I start begonia plants from clippings?

Do I start roots in water? or put directly in pot?

How do I start begonia plants from clippings?
I used water-- take a stem, remove bottom leaves but keep some top leaves-- put the stripped stems in water. Keep watch-- and put them in potting soil after rooted-- they will bloom thru the winter in water, too-- indoors if enough sun.

good luck
Reply:They are one of the easiest to root of any plant I have ever rooted. You can either put them in water or just lay them on the top of good soil. You can stick the end in the dirt or lay it on the dirt and just put a little soil over the stem portion. They grow wild around my place because the grow so easily. Good luck!!!!
